Is Malnutrition Slowly Killing You?
by Manny Aragon
The top three killers of americans are (in order) Cardiovascular disease, Cancer, and lower respiratory disease (like emphysema, asthma, and chronic bronchitis). They kill millions of americans every year and seemingly keep getting more prevalent despite the fact that we keep throwing more and more technology, drugs, surgeries, and money at them. Think about that.
If you are reading this article, chances are, that you know someone with one of these diseases. Perhaps someone close to you has even died from one of these diseases. Chances are, you may even have one of these diseases or may quite possibly die eventually from one of the top three if you don’t already have one.
It almost seems that the more that we do to treat these diseases, the worse they get. It seems futile to continue to pour more money, resources, and time into a failing system. And yet- we are all human- and have the human desire for self preservation. So we keep trying.
Whats the point?
Whats interesting is that these three diseases all have one thing in common. In fact, the thing that they have in common is even more prevalent and is even more lethal than all three of these combined. What could this more lethal yet easily and inexpensively curable disease be that outshines all of the top 15 most lethal diseases in the US?
In a word- MALNUTRITION.
Yes, the M word. Malnutrition. “But we don’t have that here”. “Impossible!” you say for the richest country in the world, the one with the most food per capita in the world, and certainly the one with the greatest number of obese people in the world. Impossible for our country to be suffering from an epidemic of malnutrition. “How can you say such a preposterous thing?!”
Malnutrition- we are used to thinking about malnutrition when we see the starving kids in Africa on TV- not the fat kid down the block. Perhaps we think of that kid at school who seems to be suffering from anorexia or bulimia- eating disorders. But not us, our children and the family next door.
But they are.
You see, the body is an exquisite healing machine. It is capable of regenerating (not arms and legs and tails like some lizards) but bones, tissues, organs. It is capable of restoring balance, strength, and agility. It is capable of literally rebuilding itself in fairly short order- given the right tools.
It is insidious.
Malnutrition is insidious. It is systemic. It happens almost by mistake. How does it happen? On many levels. Let me briefly explain (more on this later topic in later articles).
Processed foods are devoid of nutritive value. Sure they have protein, carbs, and fat- and salt- lots of salt. They taste good. Heck, Scientists even say they’re “healthy”. But they’re far from healthy. They provide some of the basic tools to run and grow a body- just not a healthy body. In fact, the very processes that allow foods to be mass produced and distributed cheaply almost ensure they are devoid of life and micronutrients. That’s the point. Cheap production, distribution, and storage!
Not health!
“Healthy” processed foods are a product of the imagination of the marketing folks. And its worked. People believe they can buy a frozen meal and are getting a healthy meal. They actually eat that stuff while “dieting”.
But that’s not the worst of it. Even if you make your meals from whole and pure foods, you are still getting the product of depleted soils. These soils have been farmed for decades or even a century or more with modern farming methods which, by government mandate, do not fully replenish the soil.
How can you grow a healthy plant or an animal that eats plants from depleted soil?
You can’t.
Does any plant or animal grown in depleted soils have all of the genuine replacement parts required for human health?
No. It can’t.
So, while your body is built for health and joy, we have taken it for granted that people “just get diseases” because they are somehow “unlucky”. Its simply not the case. There are other factors, for sure, but each person has slightly different nutritional requirements- which unmet- leave the body no choice but to deteriorate over time despite its best efforts.
We call this disease. There are many permutations of disease.
What is needed for a healthy body? What I call Genuine Replacement Parts. In other words, each person needs the full compliment of nutrients for their body. Since, even with whole, organic foods, you are still getting the product of depleted soils, (soil is variable as each farm differs in practice), so that is not enough. It doesn’t contain all of the Genuine Replacement Parts.
You need concentrated whole food supplements to make up for the deficit in food nutrition. These are supplements that are made from pure foods and that your body is best designed to digest and absorb. They contain all of the elements required for your body to actually make use of them without robbing your body’s stores of other cofactors to activate the process.
Moreover, you need particular supplements that are specific to the current needs of your body. This is why a “one size fits all” horse pill will not work for everyone. This is also why synthetic vitamins (about 99% of the vitamins on the market) won’t and don’t work very well over the long term. A synthetic vitamin will, over time, actually create a deficiency in the body and further imbalance.
The needs of the body may change from time to time so the most effectively applied supplement protocols address what your body needs right now…at this moment- to start to be able to restore fundamental balance and the healing process. The important part to understand is that everyone’s needs are different. You need a system that will quickly and easily determine your immediate nutritional needs that your body is calling for right now.
So, given this quandary, how can you get what you need to regain your full health and vitality? Its easy. There is an inexpensive and efficient process that addresses these needs by determining exactly what Genuine Replacement Parts your body needs right now.
This process is called Nutritional Response Testing. It is an efficient and inexpensive process for determining your immediate nutritional needs and helping you chart your path back to vibrant health. Its fast and efficient and whats more- it actually works.
What would you feel like if you were actually getting all of the nutrients your body needs right now? We are so accustomed to just getting by with what is typically called “the aging process” where mystery diseases appear as if by luck. But it is not by luck that disease appears. Once you understand that you have control over this process, it becomes somewhat of a no brainer to actually participate in taking control of your health.
So- for those of you who want to take control or, at least, try to change your situation, I am happy to help with an extremely low cost nutritional assessment. This assessment consists of two individual office visits. In the first, one hour visit, I will perform a thorough nutritional assessment and discuss your goals. In the second 30 min visit, a few days later, I will present a report of findings outlining what I have found and recommendations on a pathway forward.
Now, as those of you who have been in my office know, I generally charge about $200 a visit for my services. This short series of two visits, ordinarily priced at $175, will give you a pathway forward toward, not just, better health- but truly supreme health. In my own experience, over the past years that I, myself, have utilized this process, my own health and body performance has evolved greatly- I am now physically capable of athletic endeavours that I couldn’t have imagined doing even 5 years ago and I’m not getting any younger…
This is a process that has made such a tremendous impact on my own health that I want to share it with as many people as possible. As such, I am pricing the Introductory Nutritional Assessment and Report of Findings (1x 1hr Assessment, and 1x 30min Report of Findings) at the crazy low rate of $40. That’s right $40. I really don’t want money to get in the way of your commitment to your health and I want to make this a no brainer for you.
Because of this extremely low rate, I am asking that the sessions be prepaid on booking and I am limiting this deal to those who book no later than Monday 2/25/13. You may book the sessions for any date you like (that I have available) as long as you call to book prior to next Monday 2/25. Sessions may be booked by calling Jill Lynch at the Impact Health & Wellness front desk at: 949.954.6225.
In good health,
