21 Ways To Tell If Your Mitochondria Are Damaged
by: Manny Aragon
Mitochondria are the literal “powerhouses” of located in each and every cell in our bodies. As such, they bear a huge effect on our body’s ability to produce just about every aspect of energy we produce (from heat to movement to vitality in general). When mitochondria aren’t operating optimally, funny things start to happen –namely- the body starts to become fatigued and eventually succumbs to disease.
Virtually every disease has been linked to mitochondrial dysfunction.
Here are a few:
- Cardiovascular disease including atherosclorosis
 - Mental Illness (schizophrenia, bipolar, etc)
 - Alzheimers
 - Epilepsy
 - Migrane Headaches
 - Strokes
 - Neuropathic Pain
 - Parkinsons
 - Chronic fatigue syndrome
 - Fibromyalgia
 - Diabetes
 - HepatitisC
 - Liver Cirrhosis
 - Cancer
 - Dementia
 - Anxiety
 - Depression
 - Sarcopenia
 - Heart failure or Arrythmia
 - Movement Disorders
 - Exercise Intolerance

Consider that, to some degree, the vast majority of the population either suffers from one of the diseases or shows risk factors (early warning signs) of these diseases.
Consider also that many if not most of the medications used to treat these and many other diseases are actually documented to CAUSE mitochondrial damage.
I, for one, find this to be quite ironic that the very medications we are prescribed to treat the diseases actually are making the underlying factors WORSE.
